Hey! I’m Deepak Ramarao, an information designer.

I’m currently getting my master’s degree in Information Design at NID Bangalore.

In the past, I’ve worked with a digital product design agency, a fintech startup, a public health non-profit and a climate tech startup.

I like to work in teams that value craft and context. I tend to approach my work with an outsider’s eye, a planner’s mindset, and a little bit of imposter syndrome. It lets me stay nimble with my skillset, assumptions and ideas. I strive to make my design practice an informed and ethical one.

These days I explore ideas in infopunk / urbanism / ecological literacy / media theory & justice / rhizomatic learning and whatever else catches my fancy.

I studied Graphic Design at the MIT Institute of Design in Pune. I grew up in Sharjah and Bangalore, equal parts.
